SABINUS Bishop of the Macedonians at Heraclea in Thracia, liv'd about the end of the Reign of Theodosius the Great. He collected together the Acts of several Councils of the Fourth Cen∣tury, * 1.1 which Socrates quotes several times a 1.2, tho' he wrote very spitefully against the Church, yet his Memoirs had been very use∣ful for clearing up the History of the Councils of that time, if they had come to our hands.
