JOHN Abbot of Arnulphus at Metz.

JOhn Monk of Gorze, and afterward Abbot of S. Arnoud or Arnulphus at Metz, flourish'd there in * 1.1 the time of Adalberon, who was Bishop of that City. He wrote the Life of S. Goldefinda Abbess of Metz, and the History of her Translation, with the Life of S. John Abbot of Gorze his Patron, dedicated to Thierry Bishop of Metz. Father Mabillon has inserted these Works in different Tomes of his Benedictine Centuries.
