JOHN Monk of Cluny.
THE Life of Odo was written by one of his Disciples, call'd John, whom he had met in Italy in his Journey in the year 938. and brought along with him to Pavia, where he caus'd him to * 1.1 take upon him the Monastick Life. It is divided into three Books, and printed in the Library of Cluny, and in the fifth Benedictine Century by Father Mabillon, who has likewise given us another Life of Odo, written by Nalgodus, who liv'd about Two hundred years after the death of that Abbot.
