It seems Galen here minded only an Antipathetical Cure, in which his Rules are good; there is another way of Cure which we call Sympathetical, which is done by strengthning Nature in General, and the part of the Body afflicted in particular, of this and the reasons for it, every one that is fit to give Physick may see in my English Physitian.
