Capons, hennes, and chyckens.

The Capon is aboue al other foules praysed, for as moch as it is easily digested, and maketh lyttell ordure, and moch good nouryshement. It is commodiouse to the breste and stomake. Hen∣nes in wynter are almost equall vnto the capon: but they do not make so stronge nouryshement. Auycen sayth, yf they be rosted in the bealy of a kydde or lambe, they wyl be the better.
