Elfricus brother to Ethelfridus was kyng of Deyra: But anon after they were both slayne of Cadwā after whose deth Oswold secōd son of Ethelfridus was kyng of Brēnycya whom Cadwā wolde haue subdyed and made grete ware vpon hym but Cadwan was ther slayn / About thys tyme dyed Ethelbertus kyng of kent / after whom reynyd hys son Edwaldus whych denyed crystys feyth & maryed hys faders wyfe but after he was conuertyd to crystys feyth by seynt laurence successoure to seynt Austen / Also about this tyme Sebertus kyng of Essex dyed & lefte .iii. sones which denyed the fayth & expulsyd Mellitus byshop of lōdon from hys dyosyse / but sone after they were all slayne in a batteyll agaynst the west saxons and Segebertus made kyng of Essex which was after chrysty¦nyd by exortacyō of Oswy kīg of Northūbers & after was slayn & Cuichelm{us} made kīg / also aboue this tyme Orpewaldus kyng of estangles son to Redwaldus was crystenyd and after dyed / After whom succedyd his broder Sigebertus.
