Those 〈◊〉〈◊〉 is Candidati, as the 〈◊〉〈◊〉 called them. God had buried Moses, but brought him forth afterwards glorious: the same body which was hid in the vallie of 〈◊〉〈◊〉, appeareth here in the hill of Tabor. Christ by rotting, refines our bodies also: and we know that when he, who is our life, shall appear, then shall we also appear with him in glory,〈◊〉〈◊〉 3 4. As in the mean space, be not we conformed to this world, but rather transformed by the renewing of our mindes: and in whatsoever transfiguration or ravishment we can∣not finde Moses and Elias and Christ to meet (as here they did in* 1.1 this sacred Synod) that is, if what we finde in us be not agreeable to the Scriptures, we may well suspect it as an illusion.
