IN Merionith-shire,* 1.1 in Wales, there are high Mountains, whose hanging tops
come close together, that Shepherds on the tops of severall hills may audibly
talk together, yet will it be a dayes journey for their bodies to meet, so vast is the
hollowness of the Valleys betwixt them: Thus upon sound search we shall find,
notwithstanding some Pontifician Bridgemakers over the great gulph,* 1.2 betwixt Pa∣pists
and Protestants, that there is a grand distance betwixt them, which at the
first view may seem near, and tending to an accommodation.
