[ 1619] Gospel-invitation to comfort.

A Party of the Syrian hoast,* 1.1 as they were forraging about, light upon a lit∣tle Hebrew Maid, they brought her to Naaman, their Commander in chief, he bestowes her upon his Wife; the Girle perceiving that he was in∣fected with Leprosie, said unto her Mistresse, Would to God, my Lord were with the Prophet that is in Samaria, he would soon deliver him of his Lepro∣sie. Such is the voyce of the Gospel to every unrepentant Sinner,* 1.2 O that you would come unto Christ, seek after him by a lively Faith and Repentance for your sins,* 1.3 he would deliver you from the threatenings of the Law, and release you of those impossible conditions,* 1.4 which you are there bound unto, he hath conquer∣ed Death and Hell for your sakes,* 1.5 paid the ransome for your sins, and in the end by his Redemption, will bring you to life everlasting.
