Christ to be the summe of all our Actions. [ 1314]

THere is mention made of one in the Primitive times,* 1.1 who being asked, What he was? answered, A Christian. What is thy name? he answer∣ed, Christian. What is thy Profession? He answered,* 1.2 Christian. Wat are thy thoughts? He answered, Christian. Thy words and deeds, What are they? He answered, Christian. What life leadest thou? He answered still, Christian. He had so digested Christ into his Soul by Faith, that he could speak nothing but Christians. And thus it is, that Christ is to be made the summe and ultimate of all our actions; we must labour that Christ may be made one with us, and we with him, that in all our Works begun, continued and ended, we may still conclude with that expression of the Church,* 1.3 Through Iesus Christ our Lord.
