NOW these are the kings of the Land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan, toward the ri∣sing of the Sun: from the river Arnon, unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east a 1.1.

2 * 1.2 Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is upon the bank of the river of Arnon, and from the middle of the river b 1.3, and from half Gilead c 1.4, even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the chil∣dren of Ammon:

3 And * 1.5 from the plain unto the sea of Cinne∣roth on the east d 1.6, and unto the sea of the plain e 1.7, even the salt sea on the east, the way to Beth-jeshi∣moth: and from * 1.8 the south f 1.9 under † * 1.10 Ashdoth∣pisgah.* 1.11

4 ¶ And the coast of Og king of Bashan which was of the † remnant of the giants, that * 1.12 dwelt at* 1.13 Ashtaroth, and at Edrei g 1.14.

5 And reigned in mount Hermon, and in Sal∣cah, and in all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurite h 1.15, and the Maacathite, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.

6 * 1.16 Them did Moses the servant of the LORD, and the children of Israel smite, and * 1.17 Moses the servant of the LORD gave it for a possession unto the Reubenite, and Gadite, and the half tribe of Manasseh.

7 And these are the kings of the country, which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan, on the west, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon, even unto * 1.18 the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir, which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Is∣rael for a possession according to their divisions.

8 In the mountain, and in the vale, and in the plain, and in the springs, and in the wilderness i 1.19, and in the south countrey; the Hittite, the Amo∣rite, and the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

9 ¶ * 1.20 The king of Jericho, one: * 1.21 the king of Ai which is beside Beth-el k 1.22, one:
