CHAP. XVI.

1 OBserve the * 1.1 month of Abib, and keep the passeover unto the LORD thy God: for * 1.2 in the month of Abib the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by * 1.3 night a 1.4.

2 Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the passeover b 1.5 unto the LORD thy God, of the flock, and the herd, in the * 1.6 place which the LORD shall choose to place his Name there.

3 * 1.7 Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it c 1.8, seven dayes shalt thou eat unleavened bread there∣with, even the bread of affliction d 1.9 (for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste) that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt, all the dayes of thy life.

4 * 1.10 And there shall be no † 1.11 leavened bread seen with thee in all thy coasts seven dayes, * 1.12 nei∣ther shall there any thing of the flesh which thou sacrificedst the first day at even e 1.13 remain all night until the morning.

5 Thou † 1.14 mayest not ‖ 1.15 sacrifice the passeover within any of thy gates f 1.16 which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

6 But at the place which the LORD thy God shall chuse to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passeover g 1.17, at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season h 1.18 that thou cam∣est forth out of Egypt.

7 And thou shalt rost i 1.19, and eat it in the place which the LORD thy God shall chuse, and thou shalt turn in the morning k 1.20 and go unto thy tents l 1.21.

8 Six dayes m 1.22 thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day shall be a † 1.23 solemn assembly to the LORD thy God thou shalt do no work therein.

9 * 1.24 Seven weeks n 1.25 thou shalt number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou beginnest to put the sickle to the corn o 1.26.

10 And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks p 1.27 un∣to the LORD thy God, with a ‖ 1.28 tribute of a free∣will-offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give q 1.29 unto the LORD thy God, according as the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:

11 And thou shalt rejoyce before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stran∣ger, and the fatherless, and the widow that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen, to place his Name there.

12 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bond-man in Egypt; and thou shalt observe and do these statutes.

13 Thou shalt observe the feast of taberna∣cles r 1.30 seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy † 1.31 corn, and thy wine.

14 And thou shalt rejoyce in thy feast, thou and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man∣servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.

15 Seven dayes shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God, in the place which the LORD shall choose: because the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoyce s 1.32.

16 * 1.33 Three times in a year shall all thy males t 1.34 ap∣pear before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall chuse: in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of ta∣bernacles: * 1.35 they shall not appear before the LORD empty.

17 Every man shall give † 1.36 as he is able, ac∣cording to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee.

18 Judges u 1.37 and officers x 1.38 shalt thou make thee in all thy gates y 1.39 which the LORD thy God gi∣veth thee throughout thy Tribes, and they shall judge the people with just judgement.

19 Thou shalt not wrest judgement z 1.40, thou shalt not † 1.41 respect persons a 1.42, * 1.43 neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise b 1.44, and pervert the ‖ 1.45 words of the righteous c 1.46.

20 † 1.47 That which is altogether just d 1.48 shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and inherit the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

21 Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees e 1.49 near unto the altar of the LORD thy God, which thou shalt make thee.

22 * 1.50 Neither shalt thou set thee up any▪ ‖ 1.51 im∣age f 1.52, which the LORD thy God hateth.
