CHAP. VI.

1 AND the LORD spake unto Moses, say∣ing,

2 Speak unto the children of Israel and say unto them, When either man or woman a 1.1 shall ‖ 1.2 separate themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite b 1.3, to separate themselves unto the LORD:

3 He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink c 1.4, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried c 1.5. * 1.6

4 All the dayes of his ‖ 1.7 separation d 1.8 shall he eat nothing that is made of the † 1.9 vine-tree, from the kernels even to the husk.

5 All the dayes of the vow of his separation, there shall no * 1.10 rasor e 1.11 come upon his head, un∣till the dayes be fulfilled, in the which he separat∣eth himself unto the LORD, he shall be holy f 1.12; and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.

6 All the dayes that he separateth himself unto the LORD, he shall come at no † 1.13 dead body.

7 He shall not make himself unclean for his fa∣ther, or for his mother g 1.14, for his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the † 1.15 conse∣cration h 1.16 of his God i 1.17 is upon his head.

8 All the dayes of his separation he is holy un∣to the LORD.

9 And if any man die very suddenly by him, and he hath defiled the head of his consecration; then he shall shave his head k 1.18 in the day of his cleansing, on the seventh day l 1.19 shall he shave it.

10 And on the * 1.20 eighth day he shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons m 1.21 to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the con∣gregation.

11 And the priest shall offer n 1.22 the one for a sin-offering o 1.23, and the other for a burnt-offering, and make an atonement for him, for that he sin∣ned p 1.24 by the dead, and shall hallow q 1.25 his head that sameday.

12 And he shall consecrate unto the LORD the dayes of his separation r 1.26, and shall bring a lamb of the first year * 1.27 for a trespass-offering: but the dayes that were before shall † 1.28 be lost s 1.29, because his separation was defiled:

13 And this is the law of the Nazarite: when the dayes of his separation are fulfilled, he shall be brought t 1.30 unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

14 And he shall offer his offering unto the LORD, one he-lamb of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt-offering, and one ew-lamb of the first year, without blemish, for * 1.31 a sin-offer∣ing u 1.32, and one ram without blemish, for * 1.33 peace∣offerings x 1.34:

15 And a basket of unleavened bread, * 1.35 cakes of fine flour mingled with oyl, and wafers of unlea∣vened bread anointed with oyl, and their meat∣offering, and their drink-offerings y 1.36.

16 And the priest shall bring them before the LORD, and shall offer his sin-offering, and his burnt-offering.

17 And he shall offer the ram for a sacrifice of peace-offerings unto the LORD, with the basket of unleavened bread: the priest shall offer also his meat-offering, and his drink-offering.

18 * 1.37 And the Nazarite shall shave the head of his separation z 1.38, at the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation a 1.39, and shall take the hair of the head of his separation, and put it in the fire b 1.40, which is under the sacrifice of the peace-offer∣ings.

19 And the priest shall take the sodden shoul∣der c 1.41 of the ram, and one unleavened cake out of the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and shall put them upon the hands of the Nazarite d 1.42, after the hair of his separation is shaven.

20 And the priest shall wave them * 1.43 for a wave∣offering e 1.44 before the LORD: this is holy for the priest with the wave-breast, and heave∣shoulder: and after that the Nazarite may drink wine f 1.45.

21 This is the Law of the Nazarite, who hath vowed, and of his offering unto the LORD for his separation, besides that that his hand shall get g 1.46: according to the vow which he vowed, so he must do, after the law of his separation.

22 And the LORD spake unto Moses, say∣ing,

23 Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, say∣ing, On this wise h 1.47 ye shall bless the children of Israel i 1.48, saying unto them,

24 The LORD bless thee k 1.49, and keep thee l 1.50:

25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee m, and be gracious unto thee:* 1.51

26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee n 1.52, and give thee peace o 1.53,

27 And they shall put my Name upon the chil∣dren of Israel p 1.54, and I will bless them q 1.55.
