CHAP. XXII.

AND the LORD spake unto Moses, say∣ing,

Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, that they separate themselves a 1.1 from the holy things b 1.2 of the children of Israel, and that they profane not my holy name in those things which they c 1.3 hallow unto me: I am the LORD.

Say unto them, whosoever he be of all your seed among your generations that goeth unto the holy things d 1.4, which the children of Israel hallow unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from my presence e 1.5: I am the LORD.

What man f 1.6 soever of the seed of Aaron is a leper, or hath * 1.7 a † 1.8 running issue, he shall not eat of the holy things untill he * 1.9 be clean. And * 1.10 whoso toucheth any thing that is unclean by the dead, or * 1.11 a man whose seed goeth from him.

Or * 1.12 whosoever toucheth any creeping thing, whereby he may be made unclean, or * 1.13 a man of whom he may take uncleanness, whatsoever uncleanness he hath:

The soul which hath touched any such, shall be unclean until the even, and shall not eat of the holy things, unless he wash his flesh with water.

And when the sun is down, he shall be clean, and shall afterward eat of the holy things, be∣cause it is his food g 1.14.

* 1.15 That which dieth of it self, or is torn with beasts, he shall not eat, to defile himself there∣with: I am the LORD.

They shall therefore keep mine ordinance h 1.16, lest they bear sin i 1.17 for it k 1.18, and die therefore, if they profane it l 1.19: I the LORD do sanctifie them.

* 1.20 There shall no stranger m 1.21 eat of the ho∣ly thing; a sojourner n 1.22 of the priests, or an hi∣red servant shall not eat of the holy thing o 1.23.

But if the priest buy any soul † 1.24 with his money, he shall eat of it, and he that is born in his house: they shall eat of his meat p 1.25.

If the priests daughter also be married unto † 1.26 a stranger q 1.27, she may not eat of an offering of the holy things.

But if the priests daughter be a widow, or divorced, and have no child, and is returned unto her fathers house, * 1.28 as in her youth, she shall eat of her fathers meat, but there shall no stranger eat thereof.

And if a man eat of the holy thing unwit∣tingly, then he shall put the fifth part thereof unto it r 1.29, and shall give it unto the priest, with the holy thing s 1.30.

And they t 1.31 shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer unto the LORD.

Or ‖ 1.32 suffer them to bear the iniquity of tres∣pass u 1.33, when they eat their holy things: for I the LORD do sanctifie them.

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and un∣to all the children of Israel, and say unto them, * 1.34 whosoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers x 1.35 in Israel, that will offer his oblation for all his vows y 1.36 and for all his free-will-offer∣ings, which they will offer unto the LORD for a burnt-offering:

Ye shall offer at your own will a male z 1.37 with∣out blemish of the beeves, of the sheep, or of the goats.

* 1.38 But whatsoever hath a blemish, that shall ye not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you.

And * 1.39 whosoever offereth a sacrifice of peace-offerings unto the LORD, to accomplish his vow, or a free-will-offering in beeves or ‖ 1.40 sheep, it shall be perfect, to be accepted: there shall be no blemish a 1.41 therein.

* 1.42 Blind, or broken, or maimed, or hav∣ing a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed, ye shall not offer these unto the LORD; nor make an offer∣ing by fire of them upon the altar unto the LORD.

Either a bullock, or a ‖ 1.43 lamb that hath any thing * 1.44 superfluous or lacking in his parts, that mayest thou offer b 1.45 for a free-will-offering: but for a vow it shall not be accepted.

Ye shall not offer unto the LORD that which is bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut, neither shall ye make any offering thereof in your land.

Neither from a strangers hand c 1.46, shall ye offer the bread d 1.47 of your God of any of these e 1.48; because their corruption is in them f 1.49, and ble∣mishes be in them: they shall not be accepted for you g 1.50.

And the LORD said unto Moses, saying,

* 1.51 When a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat is brought forth, then it shall be seven dayes under the dam, and from the eighth day h 1.52 and thence∣forth, it shall be accepted for an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

And whether it be cow, or ‖ 1.53 ewe, ye shall not kill it * 1.54 and her young both in one day i 1.55.

And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanks∣giving unto the LORD, offer it at your own will k 1.56.

On the same day it shall be eaten up, ye shall leave * 1.57 none of it until the morrow: I am the LORD.

Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the LORD.

Neither shall ye profane my holy name l 1.58, but * 1.59 I will be hallowed m 1.60 among the chil∣dren of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you n 1.61,
