1 THe * 1.1 wicked flee when no man pursueth a 1.2: but the righteous are bold b 1.3 as a lion.

2 For the transgression of a land, many c 1.4 are the princes thereof: but ‖ 1.5 by a man of understanding and knowledg d 1.6 the state thereof shall be prolonged e 1.7

3 A poor man that oppresseth the poor f 1.8, is like a sweeping rain † 1.9 which leaveth no food g 1.10.

4 * 1.11 They that forsake the law h 1.12 praise the wick∣ed i 1.13: but such as keep the law contend with them k 1.14.

5 Evil men understand not l 1.15 judgment m 1.16: but * 1.17 they that seek the LORD n 1.18, understand all things o 1.19.

17 A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person z 1.64, shall flee to the pit a 1.65, let no man stay him b 1.66.

18 * 1.67 Whoso walketh uprightly, shall be saved c 1.68: but he that is preverfe in his ways d 1.69, shall fall at once e 1.70.

19 * 1.71 He that tilleth his land, shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons f 1.72, shall have poverty enough.

27 * 1.98 He that giveth unto the poor, shall not lack z 1.99: but he that hideth his eyes ‖ 1.100, shall have many a curse † 1.101.

28 * 1.102 VVhen the wicked rise, men hide them∣selve † 1.103: but when they perish, the righteous in∣crease ‖ 1.104.
