3. To receive the instruction g 1.8 of † 1.9 wisdom h 1.10, ju∣stice, and judgment, and † 1.11 equity i 1.12.
4. To give subtilty k 1.13 to the simple l 1.14, to the young man m 1.15 knowledge and ‖ 1.16 discretion.
5. * 1.17 A wise man will hear n 1.18, and will encrease learning o 1.19: and a man of understanding shall attain un∣to wise counsels p 1.20.
6. To understand a proverb and ‖ 1.21 the interpreta∣tion q 1.22; the words of the wise, and their dark say∣ings r 1.23.
7. * 1.24 The fear of the LORD s 1.25 is ‖ 1.26 the beginning t 1.27 of knowledge: but fools u 1.28 despise wisdom and in∣struction x 1.29.

9. For they shall be † 1.34 an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck b 1.35.
10. My son, if sinners c 1.36 entice thee, consent thou not.
11. If they say, come with us d 1.37, let us lay wait for blood e 1.38, let us lurk privily f 1.39 for the innocent g 1.40 with∣out cause h 1.41: * 1.42
12. Let us swallow them up alive as † 1.43 the grave i 1.44, and whole, as those that go down into the pit k 1.45.
13. We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil l 1.46.
