CHAP. XXI.
1 NOW these are the Judgments a 1.1, which thou shalt * 1.2 set before them.
2 * 1.3 If thou buy an Hebrew servant b 1.4, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh year c 1.5 he shall go out free for nothing.
3 If he came in † 1.6 by himself d 1.7, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him.
4 If his master have given him a wife, and she have born him sons or daughters: the wife and her children shall be her masters e 1.8, and he shall go out by himself f 1.9.
5 And if the servant † 1.10 shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children, I will not go out free:
6 Then his master shall bring him unto the Judges g 1.11, he shall also bring him to the door h 1.12, or unto the door-post, and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl i 1.13, and he shall serve him for ever k 1.14.
7 And if a man l 1.15 sell his daughter to be a maid-servant m 1.16, she shall not go out as the men∣servants do n 1.17.
8 If she † 1.18 please not her master who hath be∣trothed her to himself o 1.19, then shall he let her be redeemed p 1.20: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power q 1.21, feeing he hath dealt de∣ceitfully with her r 1.22.
9 And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daugh∣ters s 1.23.
10 If he take him another wife, her food, he•…•…ai∣ment▪
