CHAP. XL.
1. MOreover, the LORD answered Job a 1.1, and said,
2. † 1.2 Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him b 1.3? he that reproveth God c 1.4, let him an∣swer it d 1.5.
3. Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
4. Behold, I am vile e 1.6, what shall I answer thee f 1.7? * 1.8 I will lay mine hand upon my mouth g 1.9.
5. Once have I spoken, but I will not answer h 1.10: yea, twice i 1.11, but I will proceed no further k 1.12.
6. Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the Whirl-wind l 1.13, and said,
7. * 1.14 Gird up thy Loins now like a man: I will * 1.15 de∣mand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
8. * 1.16 Wilt thou also disanul my judgment m 1.17? Wilt thou condemn me that thou maist be righteous n 1.18?
9. Hast thou an arm like God o 1.19? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him p 1.20?
10. * 1.21 Deck thy self now with majesty and excellen∣cy q 1.22, and aray thy self with glory and beauty.
