1. ELihu also proceeded, and said,

2. Suffer me a little a 1.1, and I will shew thee † 1.2 that I have yet to speak on Gods behalf b 1.3.

3. I will fetch my knowledge from afar c 1.4, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker d 1.5.

4. For truly, my words shall not be false e 1.6: * 1.7 he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee f 1.8.

5. Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any g 1.9: * 1.10 he is mighty in strength and † 1.11 wisdom. h 1.12.

6. He preserveth not the life of the wicked i 1.13: but giveth right to the ‖ 1.14 poor k 1.15.

7. * 1.16 He withdraweth not his eyes from the righte∣ous l 1.17: but with Kings are they on the Throne m 1.18; yea, he doth establish them for ever n 1.19, and they are exalted o 1.20.

8. And * 1.21 if they be bound in fetters p 1.22, and be holden in cords of affliction:

9. Then he sheweth them their work q 1.23, and their transgressions, that they have exceeded r 1.24.

10. * 1.25 He openeth also their ear s 1.26 to discipline t 1.27, and commandeth u 1.28 that they return from iniquity x 1.29.

11. If they obey y 1.30 and serve him, they shall * 1.31 spend their days in prosperity z 1.32, and their years in pleasures a 1.33.

12. But if they b 1.34 obey not, † 1.35 they shall perish by the Sword, and they shall dye without knowledge c 1.36.

15. He delivereth the ‖ 1.48 poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears l 1.49 in oppression m 1.50.

17. But thou hast fulfilled the judgment s 1.58 of the wicked: ‖ 1.59 judgment and justice take hold on thee t 1.60.

18. Because there is wrath u 1.61, beware x 1.62 le•…•…t he take thee away with his stroke y 1.63: then * 1.64 a great ransom cannot † 1.65 deliver thee z 1.66.

19. Will he esteem thy riches? no not Gold, nor all the •…•…orces of strength a 1.67.

26. Behold, God is great t 1.90, and we know him not u 1.91, * 1.92 neither can the number of his years be searched out x 1.93.

27. For y 1.94 he maketh small the drops of water y 1.95, they z 1.96 pour down a 1.97 rain according to the vapour thereof b 1.98:

28. Which the † 1.99 clouds do drop, and distil upon man abundantly c 1.100.

29. Also can any understand the spreadings of the † 1.101 clouds d 1.102, or the noise of his tabernacle e 1.103.

30. Behold, he spreadeth his light f 1.104 upon it g 1.105, and covereth † 1.106 the bottom of the Sea h 1.107.

31. For * 1.108 by them judgeth he the people i 1.109; he giveth meat in abundance k 1.110.
