1. ELihu spake moreover and said,

2. Thinkest thou this to be right a 1.1, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than Gods b 1.2?

3. For * 1.3 thou saidst c 1.4, what advantage will it d 1.5 be un∣to thee e 1.6? and and what profit shall I have ‖ 1.7 if I be clean∣sed from my sin f 1.8?

4. † 1.9 I will answer thee, and thy companions g 1.10 with thee.

5. * 1.11 Look unto the heavens, and see, and behold •…•…he † 1.12 clouds which are higher than thou h 1.13.

6. If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him i 1.14? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou un∣to him?

7. * 1.15 If thou be righteous what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand k 1.16?

8. Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art l 1.17, and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.

9. By reason of the multitude m 1.18 of oppressions, they make the oppressed to cry n 1.19: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty o 1.20.

10. But none p 1.21 saith q 1.22, where is God r 1.23 my Ma∣ker s 1.24? who giveth * 1.25 songs t 1.26 in the night u 1.27!

11. Who teacheth us more then the beasts x 1.28 of the earth, and maketh us wiser then the fowls of heaven.

12. There y 1.29 they cry, (but none giveth answer) because of the pride of evil men z 1.30.

13. * 1.31 Surely God will not hear vanity a 1.32, neither will the Almighty b 1.33 regard it.

14. Although thou sayest, thou shalt not see him c 1.34, yet judgment is before him d 1.35, therefore trust thou in him e 1.36.

15. But now because it is not so f 1.37, ‖ 1.38 he g 1.39 hath visit∣ed in his anger h 1.40, yet ‖ 1.41 he knoweth it not i 1.42 in great ex∣tremity k 1.43.

16. Therefore l 1.44 doth Job open his mouth in vain m 1.45: he multiplieth words without knowledge n 1.46.
