1 NOw the sons of Issachar were, * 1.1 Tola, and ‖ 1.2 Puah, Jashub a 1.3, and Shimron, •…•…our.

2 And the sons of Tola; Uzzi, and Rephajah, and Jeriel, and Jahmai, Jibsam, and Shemuel, heads of their fathers house, to wit, of Tola: they were valiant men of might in their generations, * 1.4 whose number was in the days of David b 1.5, two and twen∣ty thousand and six hundred.

3 And the sons c 1.6 of Uzzi, Izrahiah: and the sons of Izrahiah; Michael, and Obadiah, and Jo•…•…h Ishiah, five d 1.7: all of them chief men.

4 And with them by their generations, after the house of their fathers were bands of souldiers for war, six and thirty thousand men e 1.8: for they had many wives and sons.

5 And their brethren among all the families of Issachar, were men of might, reckoned in all by their genealogies four score and seven thousand.

6 The sons of * 1.9 Benjamin; Bela, and Becher, and Jediael, three f 1.10.

7 And the sons of Bela; Ezbon, and Uzzi, and Uzziel, and Jerimoth, and Iri, five; heads of the house of their fathers g 1.11, mighty men of valour, and were reckoned by their genealogies, twenty and two thousand and thirty and four.

8 And the sons of Becher; Zemira, and Joash, and Eliezer, and Elioenai, and Omri, and Jerimoth, and Abiah, and Anathoth, and Alameth. All these are the sons of Becher.

9 And the number of them after their genealogy by their generations, heads of the house of their fathers, mighty men of valour, was twenty thou∣sand and two hundred.

10 The sons also of Jediael, Bilhan: and the sons of Bilhan, Jeush, and Benjamin, and Ehud, and Che∣naanah, and Zethan, and Tarshish, and Ahisha∣har.

11 All these the sons of Jediael, by the heads of their fathers, mighty men of valour, were seventeen thousand and two hundred souldiers fit to go out for war and battel.

12 Shuppim also and Huppim h 1.12, the children of * 1.13 Ir, and Hushim, the sons of ‖ 1.14 Aher i 1.15.

13 The sons of Naphtali; Jahziel, and Guni, and Jazer, and * 1.16 Shallum, the sons k 1.17 of Bilhah.

14 The sons l 1.18 of Manasseh; Ashriel, whom she bare m 1.19, (but his concubine the Aramitess bare Ma∣chir the father of Gilead n 1.20.

15 And Machir took to wise the sister o 1.21 of Hup∣pim, and Shuppim, whose sisters name was Maa∣chah) and the name of the second p 1.22 was Zelophe∣had: and Zelophehad had daughters q 1.23.

16 And Maachah the wife of Machir bare a son, and she called his name Peresh, and the name of his brother was Sheresh, and his sons were Ulam and Rakem.

17 And the sons of Ulam, * 1.24 Bedan. These r 1.25 were the sons of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh.

18 And his sister s 1.26 Hammoleketh bare Ishod, and Abiezer, and Mahalah t 1.27.

19 And the sons of Shemida were Ahian, and Shechem, and Likhi, and Aniam.

20 And the sons of Ephraim; Shuthelah, and Bered his son u 1.28, and Tahath his son, and Eladah his son, and Tahath his son,

21 And Zabad his son, and Shutelah his son, and Ezer, and Elead, whom the men of Gath that were born in that land, slew x 1.29, because they came down to take away their cattel.

22 And Ephraim their father y 1.30 mourned many days, and his brethren z 1.31 came to comfort him.

23 And when he went in to his wife, she concei∣ved and bare a son, and he called his name Beriah, because it went evil with his house.

24 (And his daughter a 1.32 was Sherah, who built b 1.33, Beth-horon the nether, and the upper, and Uzzen∣sherah.)

25 And Rephah was his son, also Rezeph, and Telah his son, and Tahan his son.

26 Laadan his son, Ammihud his son, Elisha∣ma c 1.34 his son,

27 ‖ 1.35 Non his son, Jehoshuah his son.

28 And their possessions d 1.36 and habitations were Beth▪el e 1.37, and the † 1.38 towns thereof, and east-ward * 1.39 Naaran, and west-ward Gezer, with the † 1.40 towns thereof, Shechem also and the towns thereof, unto ‖ 1.41 Gaza f 1.42 and the towns thereof.

29 And by the borders of the children of * 1.43 Ma∣nasseh, Beth shean and her towns, Tannach and her towns, * 1.44 Megiddo and her towns, Dor and her towns. In these dwelt the children of Joseph g 1.45, the son of Israel.

30 * 1.46 The sons of Asher: Imnah, and Ishuah, and Ishuai, and Beriah, and Serah their sister.

31 And the sons of Beriah; Heber, and Mal∣chiel who is the father of Birzavith.

32 And Heber begat Japhlet, and Shomer, and Hotham, and Shuah their sister.

33 And the sons of Japhlet, Pasach, and Bim∣hal, and Ashvath. These are the children of Ja∣phlet.

34 And the sons of Shamer ‖ 1.47; Ahi, and Rohgah, Jehubbah, and Aram.

35 And the sons of his brother h 1.48, Helem, Zo∣phah, and Imnah, and Shelesh, and Amal.

36 The sons of Zophah; Suah, and Harnepher, and Shual, and Beri, and Imrah:

37 Bezer, and Hod, and Shamma, and Shil∣shah, and Ithran, and Beera.

38 And the sons of Jether ‖ 1.49; Jephunneh, and Pi∣spah, and Arah.

39 And the sons of Ulla i 1.50; Arah, and Haniel, and Reziah.

40 All these were the children of Asher; heads of their fathers house, choice and mighty men of va∣lour, chief of the princes. And the number through∣out the genealogy of them that were apt to the war, and to battel, was twenty and six thousand men.
