CHPP. XXX. BARGAINS and SALES.
NO Mannor-lands, Tenements, or o∣ther hereditaments can pass, alter, or change, from one man to ano∣ther, whereby an estate of Inhe∣ritance or Free-hold is made, or taketh ef∣fect in any person or persons, or any use thereof is made, by reason only of any Bar∣gain and Sale therefore, except the same be made by writing indented, sealed, and in∣rolled in one of the Courts of Record at Westminster, or within the same Court or Countie where the Tenements so bargain∣ed, do lie, before the Custos Rotulorum, and two Justices of Peace, and the Clerk of the Peace, or two of them, where of the Clerk of the Peace to be one, and that within six months after the date of such writing in∣dented, 27, H. 8.
The inrollment shall be indented the first day of the Terme, and shall have relation to the delivery of the Deed, against all stran∣gers.
