Liquor Diaphoreticus.

Take of our Treacle water six ounces, Spirit of Tar∣tar often rectified three ounces, Spirit of sealed Earth di∣stilled by it self and rectified, Spirit of Guajacum recti∣fied, the acid liquor of Oriental Pearls, the acid liquor of red Coral, of each half an ounce. Mix them, and in a Glass close shut let them digest for three or four weeks, then filter it, and keep it for use.

Virtue, Use, and Dose. It expels all Poyson from the Heart by Sweat. It is good in Syncopes, sudden Fits, Epilepsie, Melancholy, Quinsie, Palsie, Dropsie,

Jaundice, Pleurisie, Pox, Plague, Epidemical disease, Asthma, malignant and putrid Feavers, retention of the Courses, Contractures, Scurvy, Scabs or Itch: For this Medicine doth excel all others in taking away all Obstructions and Putrefactions. And if it be given daily in the Palsie, it doth wonders. It pe∣netrates the Nerves, Muscles, Marrow, and whatso∣ever it finds hurtful it expels. The dose is from half a dram to two drams in our Harts-horn water, or Carduus water, or any other Vehicle respecting the Disease.
