Pilulae de Sandaraca.

Take of the best Sandarac half an ounce, Extract of Polypody, white Tartar, of each two drams; white Am∣ber prepared, black Pepper, Roch-Alum, red Sarcocol, of each half a dram; Lacca washed, Nitre prepared, round Birthwort, seeds of wild Rue and Parsley, of each a scruple. Mix them, and with the Juyce of the les∣ser Centaury made thick make a mass according to Art, and of every scruple make two Pills, and gild them.

Virtue, Use, and Dose. It extenuates fat, and makes people lean, and attenuates all preternatural Carno∣sities in the humane body. It is given every mor∣ning one Pill gilded.
