Lord, make me to have * 1.1 a perpetual fear and love of thy holy Name; for thou never failest to help and govern them whom thou dost bring up in thy stedfast love. Grant this even for Jesus Christ his sake. Amen.

Almightie and everla∣sting * 1.2 God, which of thy tender love towards man, hast sent our Saviour Jesus Christ to take upon him our flesh, and to suffer death upon the Cross, that all mankind should follow the example of his great humilitie; mercifully grant that I may both follow the example of his patience, and be made partaker of his resurrection, through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
