Take an ounce of Lamp-black, half a pound of Nutgalls, bruise the latter, and put them into a Pottle of Water, with a handful of the Filings, or Rust of Iron, heat them up, adding a quarter of a pound of Cop∣peras, seeth it to a third part consumption, then add half a hint of Gum-water, and it will not only be for present use, but keep long, and be a very good black.
