To Dye Linnen with Crampenade.

To three Ells of your Linnen, use a pound of the Crampenade, and a gallon and a half of water, and so to a greater quantity proportionable; let it stand o∣ver a fire till it begins to seeth, put in at that time two ounces of Galls, and then your Linnen, and when you take it out, which must be often, wring it, and put it into Allom water; but if you would have the Co∣lour darker, it is requisite to have a Ley of unslacked Lime, or Chalk Stones.
