signaliz'd himself, which was Fought against the Danes on the third day of August, in the year one thousand two hundred sixty and three. He was likewise Great Seneschal, or Here∣ditary Lord High Steward of Scot∣land, or he who had the chief Charge of the Kings Revenues. He left two Sons, ALEXANDER the Eldest, who succeeded him in the Stewardship, and ROBERT, who having the Lands of Tourbouton assigned him for his Ap∣pennage; and that he Married the Daughter and Heir of Robert Crux (or Cross) of Crurstone, became Lord of most ample Possessions, who going with Lewis the French King in the Expedition against the Sarazens, in the year one thousand two hundred and seventy, died in Indea.
