41. And we, indeed, justly; for we receive the due Reward of our Deeds: But this Man hath done no∣thing amiss.

AN humble Acknowledgment of our Sins, and De∣merits, is the Way to God's Bosom. This is the first Discovery of this poor Man's Repentance: and he begins with the noblest Act of it; which is, seeking to draw others to a Sense of better things. In this, O my Soul, thou hast been very remiss and neglectful, even in propagating Religion, and exhorting others to seek God's Face. Henceforth be more diligent in gaining Prose∣lytes to Christ Jesus: And what if thy Admonition pre∣vails not; thou hast discharged a Duty, and may'st re∣joyce in having acted according to the Will of God.
