OBliviosam corpus ut molem invehat, Tamen ipse, quicquid extrà Vi suâ igneâ Molitur, Animus in se retrusum tenet; Haeret nimirum fomes intimâ abditus Mente, & doctrinâ ventilante accenditur; Quod quisque discit, immemor reminiscitur: Sic quondam, aeternum Graeciae decus, Plato. Quàm non feliciùs Nostri! Indelebili Sunt quaedam humanis animis inscriptae notâ Inhaerentesque notiones; Insita est Dei nimirum Notio; quam attentiùs Qui advertit, de Deo ille rectè existimat; Qui non advertit, si minùs rectè tamen Deum is necesse est ut sciat vel inscius. Sed cur non cunctorum animis ex aequo Dei Expressa, clara, vivida, atque ipso proin Deo imprimente digna, impressa est Notio? Cur qui praeceptis animos instituit rudes, Primisque docilem studiis aetatem excolit, Qualem sibi ipse finxit, talem cereis Instillat animis, & sensim informat Deum? Sic comparati nempe mortales sumus, Non ut connatâ nescio quâ atque insitâ Deum sciamus notione necesse sit, Ratione at rectâ; Uti nemo rectè Deum Sciat, qui rectae non sit usus, ut decet, Rationis operâ; nec quisquam possit tamen Nescire, qui non dignus sit qui nesciat.
