A. No, David ceased praying for his child when once it was dead, 2 Sam. 12. 23. as for that place in the Machabes, Macha. 12. 44. that is not Canonicall scriptures, 2 Macha. 15. 38. First, when people are dead our communion with them ceaseth, Isa. 8. 19. Secondly there is no profit in such prayers, as the tree falleth, so it ly∣eth,
