Influence on the Mind and Thoughts, the Free-will and Determinations of Men? In satisfaction to this main Demand I assert, That the Heaven∣ly Bodies act upon the Bodies of Men, and these influence upon their Minds. I do not say that the Ce∣lestial Luminaries act immediately and directly on the Soul of Man; for after that manner onely they work on his Body: but this is it which I maintain, That the Moti∣ons and Aspects of the Heavens in∣cline the Mind and Will by Media∣tion of the Sensitive Appetite, which is stirred by the constitution of the Body. For I take it to be an indis∣putable Truth, that Bodies strong in humours, and weak in Vertue or Grace, draw and incline the Mind and Affections: and therefore those Creatures that are guided by their Natural and Sensual Appetites, as Brutes and wicked Men, do most of all feel the force of the Heavenly Bodies. And for this Reason the 0
