Coal-Market.
AT the head of Billingsgate-Dock is a square
Plot of ground compassed with Posts, known
by the Name of Roomland, which with the Adja∣cent
part of the street hath been the usual place,
where the Ship-Masters, Coal-Merchants, Wood∣mongers,
Lightermen and Labourers, do meet every
Morning, in order to the Buying, Selling, Deliver∣ing
and taking up of Sea-Coals and Scotch-Coals,
as the principal Market. This Coal-Market was kept
on Great Tower-hill in the time of the Cities late De∣solation.
