Licet nuper pro magnis & arduis nego∣tiis nos & statum Regni nostri Angliae concernentibus, quod∣dam Parliamentum nostrum apud Westm’ ad diem Lunae proximum post Festum S. Hillarii proximò futurum teneri ordinaverimus, & vobis mandaverimus quòd in propriâ personâ vestrâ ad dictos diem & locum interessetis nobiscum & cum caeteris Praelatis, Magnatibus, & Proceribus dicti Regni super dictis negotiis Tractaturi, vestrúmque Consilium impensuri. Quia tamen subita plaga pestilentiae mortalis in loco praedicto & aliis partibus circumvicinis adeo indies invalescit, quòd de securo accessu hominum ad locum illum formidatur admo∣dum hiis diebus; & proinde, ac etiam ob alias certas causas evi∣dentes, Parliamentum praedictum usque ad Quindenam Paschae prox∣imò futuram duximus prorogandum, per quod ad locum illum ad dictum diem Lunae accedere vos non oporteat istâ vice; vobis nihil∣ominus in fide & dilectione, quibus nobis tenemini, firmiter injun∣gendo mandamus; quòd, quâcunque excusatione cessante, apud dictum locum Westm’ ad Quindenam praedictam, in propriâ personâ vestrâ, absque Procuratore faciendo intersitis nobiscum, ac cum dictis Praelatis, Magnatibus & Proceribus dicti Regni, super dictis negotiis Tractaturi, vestrúmque Consilium impensuri; Et hoc, sicut nos & honorem nostrum, ac expeditionem negotiorum nostrorum praedictorum diligitis, nullatenus omittatis; Praemunientes Priorem & Capitulum Ecclesiae vestrae S. Swythini Wynton’ ac Archidiaconos totúmque Clerum vestrae Diocesis, quòd iidem Prior & Archidiaconi in propriis personis suis; ac dictum Capitulum per unum, idémque Clerus per duos Procuratores idoneos, plenam & sufficientem po∣testatem ab ipsis Capitulo & Clero habentes, praedictis die & loco intersint, ad consentiendum hiis, quae tunc ibidem de Communi Con∣silio ipsius Regni nostri Angliae, divinâ favente clementiâ, contigerit ordinari; Scituri pro certo quòd, attentâ dictorum negotiorum ar∣duitate, Procuratores aliquos pro vobis, seu ex parte vestrâ ad Quin∣denam praedictam admittere, seu absentiam vestram excusatam habere nolumus ullo modo.
