IN 22 E. 1 Sir Adam* 1.1 de Creting Knight, ha∣ving Summonsa 1.2 to attend the King at Portsmouth, upon the first day of Septem∣ber, and thence passingb 1.3 with him into Gasco∣igne, was there slain,c 1.4 by the Treachery of Walter Giffard, Runnagate, who continuedd 1.5 in those parts afterwards many years. This Adam being then seisede 1.6 of the Mannor of great Stokton, in Com. Hunt. which he obtained, f 1.7 from William Keryell (it being heldg 1.8 of the Bi∣shop of Linc. by the service of four Knights Fees) left Issue Iohn* 1.9 his Son and Heir, bornh 1.10 at Stri∣gu•••• in Wales. Which Iohn, having been i 1.11 with his Father in that Expedition made into Gascoigne, in 22 E. 1. and in the Sco∣tish Wars, ink 1.12 34 E. 1. in 4 E. 3. obtained: a Charterl 1.13 for Free-Warren in all his Demesn-Lands at great Stockton, before-specified: and in 6 E. 3. had Summonsm 1.14 to Parliament, amongst the Barons of this Realm, but never afterwards, so that I have no more to say of him.
