OF this Family, (whose chief Seat was at Lemington, in Com. War. commonly called Lemington-Hastang) was Atrop Hastang;* 1.1 who gavea 1.2 to the Canons of Nostell, in Com. Ebor. the Churches of Lemington and Newbold; and likewise that of Chebsey, in Com Staff. which Grant, Atrop* 1.3 his Son confirm∣ed, b 1.4 and bestowedc 1.5 on the Canons of Kenil∣worth the Church of Whitnash. Likewise d 1.6 on the Canons ••of Osney, half an hyde of Land in UUhitnash, and one 1.7 the Nuns of UUrorhall, certain Lands in Hasedey.
To this last mentioned Atrop, succceded Hum∣phrey,* 1.8 his Son and Heir; which Humphrey took f 1.9 part with the Rebellious Barons, against King Iohn; by reason whereof, his Lands were seised, g 1.10 but, in 1. H. 3. returning to obedience, they were restoredh 1.11 to him again.
And to him Robert,* 1.12 who Marriedi 1.13 Ioane, the Daughter and Co-heir to William de Curli. This Robert, in 41 H. 3. gavek 1.14 a Mark in Gold,
