IN 7 Edw. 1. Eustace de Hacche, beinga 1.1 a me∣nial servant to the King, shortly after obtain'd a Charterb 1.2, for Free-warren, in all his De∣mesn-lands at Hacche, in Com. Wilts. as also, at Morton-Merhull, and Cestreton, in Com. War. And, in 22 Edw. 1. was made Governourc 1.3 of Portsmouth: in which year he accompanied d 1.4 Edmund Earl of Lancaster, in that Expediti∣on, then by him made, into Gascoine; where he continuede 1.5 the next ensuing year. And in 24 Edw. 1. received commandf 1.6 to attend the King at Carlisle, on the Quind. of St. Iohn Baptist's Nativity; thence to March into Scot∣land against Robert Brus, at that time assuming the Title of King of that Realm, where he conti∣nued g 1.7 till 25 Edw. 1.

Moreover, in 26 Edw. 1. he wash 1.8 in that me∣morable Battel at Fawkirk in Scotland. And ini 1.9 28 and 29k 1.10 and 31l 1.11 Edw. 1. served again in those Wars. In 27 Edw. 1 he was firstm 1.12 sum∣mon'd to Parliament amongst the Barons of this Realm; and so continuedn 1.13 till 33 Edw. 1. but departedo 1.14 this Life in 34 Edw. 1. leaving Iulian his Daughter and heir, marriedp 1.15 to Iohn Han∣sard.

After which, the next ensuing year, his Exe∣cutors, by their humble Petitionq 1.16 to the King, craving allowance of those Debts, which were owing▪ for his Robes, Wages, and Horses lost in the Wars of Scotland, and Gascoine: Signi∣fying, therewithal, that the said Eustace had be∣queath'd much in Legacies to the Holy-Land, and to his Servants; obtain'd a special Precept r 1.17 to the Keeper of the Great VVardrobe, for sa∣tisfaction to be made unto them, of what should appear to be so due.
