Take of pure salt peter one pound, put it in a cru∣cible, and place coales round about it, that the niter may flow like mettle, then put in by degrees two ounces of flower of Brimstone, after the Brimstone is consu∣med, pour the Niter out into a brass bason, when it is cold keep it in a glass close stopped.
