One material Oyl only, which was in their last Dispensatory; which is, Oyl of Mirrh, which is thus made.

Take certain new-laid Egs, and boyl them till they be hard, then cut them through the middle, the lon∣gest way; take out the yolks, and fill the hollow place half full of Mirrh; then joyn the whites together a∣gain and bind them gently with a string, then place them between two dishes, a small grate being between that they fall not to the bottom; then place them in a Wine-Celler, or some other cool place under the ground, so will the melted Liquor of the Mirrh distil down in∣to the inferior dish.
