Let it be required to multiply 3/7 by ⅜ of 2/9 of 3/12, and this Compound Fraction ⅜ of 2/9 of 3/12 is by the 6th of the 11th redu∣ced to the Simple or Single Fraction 18/864, which by abbreviation is 1/48, which multi∣plied by 3/7, the Product is 3/326 as was requi∣red.
If the Fractions given to be multiplied are both Compound Fractions, reduce them into Simple ones both, by the 6th of the 11th, and proceed as before, and you have the Product for answer.
