PSALME VIII.

O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy Name in all the earth who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

O Lord, our Lord, how excellent in all the earth doth prove Thy name! who thy great glory hast. the heavens set above.

2 Out of the mouth of babes▪ and suckling•…•… hast thou ordained strength, because of thine ene∣mies, that thou mightest still the enemie and the avenger.

2 Thou hast ordain'd strength out of babe•…•… and sucklings mouths also, Because of thy foes that thou migh'st th'avnger still and foe.

3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon, and the stars which thou hast ordained;

3 When I thy heav'ns consider that work of thy fingers be The moon and likewise all the stars that were ordain'd by thee.

4 What is man that thou art mindfull of him? and the son of man that thou visitest him▪

4 O what is man that thou of him should thus so mindfull be? And what mans son, that he should so be visited by thee?

6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands: thou hast put all things un∣der his feet.

6 Thou madst him have dominion ov'r the works of thy hand, Under his feet thou also hast put all things by command.

7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field.

8 The fowle of the air, and the fish of the sea,

7 All sheep and oxen, yea and als beasts of the field that be. 8 The fowle that is into the air and fishes of the sea.

And whatsoever passeth thorow the pathes of the seas.

9 O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
