5 I called upon the Lord in distresse: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.

5 I called then upon the Lord when I was in distresse: The Lord to me an answer gave and he inlarg'd my place.

6 The Lord is on my side, I will not fear; what can man doe unto me?

6 The Lord himself is on my side, no fear in me shall be: What thing is it that any man can now do unto me?

7 The Lord taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

7 The Lord doth take my part with them that help give unto me, Therefore upon them that me hate I my desire shall see.

8 It is better to trust in the Lord: then to put confidence in man.
