The Prayer.
O Blessed Iesu, who didst descend from hea∣ven into the wombe of the blessed Virgin, like raine into a fleece of wooll, thou that puni∣shest the wrong doer, and defendest the children of the poore, and them that have no helper; have mercy upon thy Holy Church, be pleased by her ministery to extend thy blessings and thy domi∣nion from the one Sea to the other, even unto the worlds end, that all Kings of the earth may fall down before thee, and all Nations may doe thee service. Make thy righteous people to flou∣rish, and so subdue their enemies under them, de∣livering them from falshood and wrong, that they may be blessed with abundance of Peace, and be satisfied with thy righteousnesse and salvation through thy mercies, O blessed Saviour and Re∣deemer Jesu. Amen.
