UP to the hills I lift mine eye,
whence comes my help at need:
 [verse 2]  From him that made both earth and sky,
doth all my help proceed.
He will not let thy foot be mov'd,
for still thy keeper wakes:
 [verse 4]  Lo he that keepeth his belov'd
no sleep nor slumber takes.

 [verse 5]  The Lord at thy right hand shall be
thy shadow of defence:
 [verse 6]  The Sun and Moon shall shed on thee
no harmfull influence.
From evils all he keeps thee sure,
and guards thy soul about:
Henceforth for ever to secure
thy goings in and out.
