HYMN 512. Priesthood and power of Christ. 3. METRE.

THE Lord unto my Lord thus said here at my right hand sit, Until thine Enemies be made a foot-stool for thy feet. [verse 2] The Lord shall out of Sion bring the Scepter of thy power: Rule thou amidst thy foes, O King, in that successfull hour.
[verse 3] The people at first call shall come, (submitting to thy Grace) As drops of dew from mornings womb in beauties holy place. [verse 4] He sware that never Oath will break, thou art ordain'd, O Christ, By order of Melchisedeck, an everlasting Priest.
[verse 5] In th' day of his fierce anger then the Lord at thy right-hand, Shall strike through Kings, and wound chief men, in many a Heathen Land. [verse 6] Filling the places where he struck with bodies of the dead, [verse 7] And in the way drink of the brook. and so lift up the head.
