FAITH.
OUr lorde will rewarde euery mā according to his iustice and faith.* 1.1
We that beleue Christ, lette vs folowe Christes liuing.* 1.2
They whiche beleue in God, let theim endeuour theim to excel in good workes * 1.3
Like as the bodie is dead, wherein is no spirite, so that faithe is dead where there lacke workes.* 1.4
The faithe of a christiā is ioyned with charitie, & without charitie, is the faithe of the deuyll.* 1.5
Faith not exercised, sone waxeth sick, & being vnoccupied it is assaulted with sundrie displeasures.* 1.6
Not the hearers of the lawe be right∣wyse in the presence of God, but the do∣ers of the lawe shalbe iustified.* 1.7
Not euery man that saieth to me, lord lorde, shall enter into the kingdome of heauen, but they whiche doe the wyll of my father whiche is in heauen.
