- ¶ This deuoute prayer folo∣wyng is to be sayd dayly vnto our lord / or to be borne alwayes aboute one rydyng or goyng for a pre∣seruation fro the plage of pestylence.
- ❧ This prayer folowynge serueth is be sayd nyghtely whan a man blessethe his chambre / his bedde / the wyn∣dowes & the dores against the comen plage
- ☞ This prayer folowing is to thanke our lorde euery mornyng whan you rise that his goodnes hath preserued you that nyght / desyrynge hym the day folowyng to saue you from the pestylens & sodayne deth.
- ❧ This deuoute prayer is to your pro pre angel and desyreth hym with meke wordes to kepe you / saue you & gouerne you from all peryll of body and soule specyally from the plage of pestilence.
- ❧ Here after foloweth a deuout pra∣yer vnto our blessed lady conteynynge peticyons vnto her and to all the holy cōpany of heuyn to haue shryfte and housell or ye dye / and to be preser ued from the pestilens with dyuerse suche other.
- Another special deuout prayer of great deuotion dayly to be sayd vnto out bles¦sed lady agaynst the comen plage of pestilēce or soden deth.
- ❧ This holy prayer folowynge was made by angell in the cyte of Rome in the tyme of a great plage or pestylence.
- ❧ A very deuoute prayer vnto the ho¦ly martire saynt Sebastyan agaynst the plage of pestylence or sodayne dethe.
- ☞ This deuoute prayer folowynge / is to the holy confessour of Christ saint Rooke agaynst the plage of pesty∣lence or sodeyne dethe.
- ☞ whan ye haue sayde all these holye prayers before wryten / than deuoutly commytte your selfe vnto all the holy sayntes and compeny of heuyn with this pra¦yer folowynge.
- ❧ Now departyng out of the churche knelyng before the blessed sacrament or the crucifyxe / mekely and re∣uerently saye this prayer deuoutly and than go about your busy∣nesse vertu∣ously.
