Bishops and deacons.]* 1.1 Vviclesse and other Heretikes vvould proue by this that Priests are not here named, and for that there could not be many Bishops of this one tovvne, that there is no difference betvvixt a Bishop and a Priest, vvhich vvas the old heresie of Aërius, of vvhich matter,* 1.2 in other places: for this present it is ynough to knovv that in the Apo∣stles time there vvere not obserued alvvaies proper distinct names of either function, as they vvere quickly aftervvard, though they vvere alvvaies diuers degrees & distinct fun∣ctions.
