WHen we see Carelesnesse of religion encrease in the world, and men frame them selues to liue in securitie which waye so euer the worlde turne,* 1.1 thinking to make falshoode their refuge, and to hide them selues vnder vanitie: Then let vs remember that their couenaunt with death shal be disanulled,* 1.2 and their agreement with hell shall not stande, when God sendeth a scourge it shall take them, and they shall be troden downe by it: euen when they say peace peace, all is safe, then shall sodaine destruction come vpon them.
