Hierome in his first boke of the Cō∣mentaries which he made vpō the Ga∣lathians .j. cap. Let vs not thinke that the Gospell resteth in the woordes of Scripture, but in the sense, not in the outwarde rynde, but in the very hart, not in the leaues, but in ye very roote of reason.
